Wise Fools Pub

For the first time ever, Tim and I find out there’s a lounge for the bands downstairs at Wise Fools. I guess that’s what happens when you’re part of the Friday line-up… stuff they never tell you on Monday or Wednesday!

Tonight’s set started a little off. We felt a tad off-kilter, though for no real reason. My voice sounded tired – I think due to incessant rehearsals and performances of the show I’m doing at the Theater Building. But, the great thing about being a two-man-brother band is that we always find the groove. Once we got rolling, it felt good… really good… and we had fun, as per usual (we hope the audience did, too!). By the time the “you have 7 minutes left” came from the sound board operator, we were feeling like we could’ve gone all night and only gotten better with each song. I think “Exclusively” and “Say Uncle” took off, right as we had to get off! It’s good to end on a high note, though, for sure…

The band that followed us, Detagoh, we’re good, so we stuck around for the first set, then called it a night. Of course, as we left, the bar was packed. Oh, to play for that crowd!

Big thanks to everyone who came out tonight. Lots of our supporters were in shows or out of town this weekend. Hopefully next time, we’ll pack the place to the hilt!
